Viele Umschreibungen mit wohlklingenden Worten, wie Führung sein sollte, sind gut und richtig, schön zu lesen; es menschelt, da findet sich jeder wieder... allerdings gibt es kaum praktische Beispiele und keinerlei Anregungen für "echte" Situationen, in denen sich Führungskräfte nämlich ständig befinden:Druck von oben oder außen, Widerstände von innen, wenig Lust zur Innovation, zu wenig Personal, schlechte Bezahlung für sich selbst oder die Mitarbeiter, die eine Führungskraft nicht immer bestimmen kann, vakante Stellen, ...Es ist eben sicherlich nicht so, dass der Laden schon von allein läuft, sobald die Mitarbeiter ihren Chef "lieben" (ja, er schreibt "lieben") und sobald der Chef eine Vision hat und menschenfreundlich handelt.Unterschlagen wird, dass (zu) vieles allein auf ein Kloster gemünzt ist und ursprünglich von Benedikt auch so erdacht wurde.Letztlich ist mir das Buch zu christlich, für mich muss Führung nicht spirituell sein und das Unternehmen nichts vom "Haus Gottes" widerspiegeln. Hier wäre mehr Praxis und weniger Religion sicherlich hilfreich.Verwunderlich schlecht ist teilweise der Sprachstil, hier schreibt doch ein Theologe, der Latein- und Griechischkenntnisse hat und dem sicherlich ein wenig Sprachgefühl unterstellt werden dürfte..Ermüdend oft benutzt der Autor aber "meinen" statt "bedeuten" (z.B.: "Gottesfurcht meint die Betroffenheit durch Gott.") Bei aus dem Englischen übersetzten Büchern könnte man dies als Übersetzungsfehler unter den Teppich kehren (to mean = bedeuten), aber Anselm Grün hat dieses Buch auf Deutsch verfasst. Soll vielleicht neudeutscher und somit moderner klingen, dieser Fehler macht sich aber nicht gut und stößt wohl jedem Leser auf, der ein wenig Sprachgefühl mitbringt.Ebenso die konsequent veraltete Rechtschreibung aus der Zeit vor der vorigen Rechtschreibreform gibt Rätsel auf: Wurde das Buch seit 1998 bewusst nicht überarbeitet? Warum wurde nicht wenigstens die Rechtschreibung angepasst, die alte Schreibung gilt heute als falsch, unabhängig von der persönlichen Meinung über die Reform. Hier liegt im Endeffekt nun eine 11. (!) Auflage vor, die von Fehlern nur so strotzt.Weiterempfehlen würde ich das Buch nicht. Es ist nett zu lesen, jedoch wenig praktisch anwendbar, und ab der Hälfte langweilt es auch ein bisschen.
Streng genommen spricht das Buch weniger die Führungskraft selbst an, sondern die Manager, die eine Person zur Führungskraft machen wollen. Hier hangelt sich der Mönch und Cellerar Anselm Grün an Regelwerken des hl. Benedicts lang, die aber nach wie vor hoch aktuell sind, oder besser: ...sein sollten! Viele von ihm beschriebenen und zutreffenden Selbstverständlichkeiten scheinen zunehmend außer Mode zu kommen und gegen "Ellbogen"-Leitsätze von Machiavelli ausgetauscht zu werden. Sollten auch einige Schilderungen und daraus resultierende Forderungen blauäugig anmuten, so kann man der Gesellschaft doch wünschen, dass uns möglichst viele der hier beschriebenen Führungsgrundsätze erhalten bleiben und dass es Führungskräftemacher gibt, die in der Lage sind, diese deutlich anspruchsvolleren Führungsmethoden anzuwenden und ihre Unternehmen anhand derer zum nachhaltigen Erfolg zu führen.Ein klangvoller Autorenname führt nicht immer zu besonders substanziellen Inhalten. Hier ist es eher so: schnell gelesen - schnell vergessen, weil vor allem Dinge drin stehen, die man schon kennt und in zu vielen anderen Büchern ähnlich lesen konnte.
