Ich habe von diesem Buch auf dem Instagram-Profil einer Bekannten gelesen, die es sehr empfohlen hat und wurde neugierig. Da ich generell sehr gerne lese, habe ich mir das Buch umgehend bestellt und wurde nicht enttäuscht.Es erzählt über einen Lehrer, der auf der Suche nach Glück ist. Dabei geht er in seinem Urlaub zu einem Zen-Meister, von dem er gehört hat und hofft, dort eine einfache Lösung präsentiert zu bekommen. Er bekommt nach und nach Aufgaben gestellt, die er zu lösen versucht und am Ende erkennt er, was das wahre Glück ist.Tolles Buch, das zum Nachdenken anregt. Lesenswert

Für Menschen, die sich gerne mit der Persönlichkeitsentwickung beschäftigen, ein Buch, welches sie definitiv zur Hand nehmen können. Spannend war der Roman zwar nicht wirklich, trotzdem lesenswert, um auch sich selbst einiges nochmal klar zu werden.

...ja, es ist sicher nicht alles neu, was dort geschrieben steht, aber in der Einfachheit der Gedanken in dem Buch fällt das gewohnte Ausweichen und Abschweifen nicht so leicht, wie sonst.Manchmal reicht es, mal wieder drauf gestoßen zu werden. Habe das Buch mehrmals gelesen, und das tue ich eher selten. Fand den Schreibstil auch nicht immer gefällig, aber vielleicht ist es das ja auch, was das "Dranbleiben" mit bewirkte.

Ich würde mich selbst als fortgeschrittenen Laien bezeichnen. Ich mache seit Jahren Pilates, Faszeinrollentraining, Rückengym, Yoga, etc. Ich besitze auch ein duzend Bücher zur Thematik. In diesem Buch sind tolle Übungen, aber meist nur ein Bild pro Grundübung und dazu unendlich viel Text. Bei vielen Übungen ist die Beschreibung nicht eindeutig und klar genug. Man muss sehr genau lesen, manchmal stehen wesentliche Punkte in einem Halbsatz, der unter der Masse von Text untergeht. Dann wirds gefährlich. Es fehlt eine DVD oder eine Homepage mit Filmen der Übungen. Viele der Übungen könnte man sehr viel kontrollierter und gefahrloser ohne Pilatesroller klassisch auf einer Matte durchführen. Eine nicht kontrollierte Pilatesrolle ist gerade für untrainierte Anfänger ein zusätzliches Risiko sich zu verletzen. Es sind viele Übungen drin, die ein unnötig hohes Verletzungsrisiko bergen, weil sie nicht genau genug erklärt sind. Im Teil für Fortgeschrittene sind die Übungen dann ausreichend bebildert und die Textmenge sinkt. So ist das viel besser! Wie sagt der Lernpsychologe : "Bilder sagen mehr als tausend Worte." Es fallen viele anatomische und medizinische Fachbegriffe, die nur für Profis verständlich sind. Anatomische Zeichnungen (der jeweiligen Muskeln) bei jeder Übung würden das Verständnis sehr erleichtern. Ernährung, Taoismus, Grundlagen der Osteopatie, Verzeichnissse, Übersichten, etc., dass sind 50 unnötige Seiten. Lieber stattdessen 4-5 Bilder pro Grundübung. Am besten den Teil für die Leistungssportler weglassen und ein extra Buch rausbringen. Die Grundiidee des Buches ist jedoch gelungen und man spürt die Leidenschaft der Autoren. Das Buch ist ideal für Patienten der Therapeuten, die als Erinnerung an die Übungen das Buch mit nach Hause geben. Werden die Übungen nicht vor der Lektüre des Buches in echt erklärt, werden viele Leser die Übungen nicht korrekt durchführen können.

Ich hatte mich dazu entschieden, das Buch als Kindle-E-Book zu erwerben, damit man es jederzeit dabei hat. Doch leider fehlt in der Beschreibung, dass beim E-Book der Übungsanhang fehlt. Das ist ein Manko.

Ich bin sehr glücklich, mich für dieses Buch entschieden zu haben. Schon die ersten Seiten der Einleitung und das zweite Kapitel, in dem die Autoren auf den Punkt erklären, was Osteopathie ist, hat mir sehr gut gefallen. Es werden dem Leser in ein paar kurzen Sätzen wichtige Zusammenhänge zur Krankheitsentstehung bewusst gemacht. Die Gliederung des Buches gefällt mir ausgesprochen gut. Die vielen Fotos sind zum Teil schon selbsterklärend. Die Übungen sind verständlich beschrieben. So ist es problemlos möglich, die Theorie in die Praxis umzusetzen. Die Kapitel 'Anwendungsgebiete' und im Anhang das 'Übungsregister' machen das Finden von gezielten Übungen noch einfacher.
